Job Name: Talent Acquisition Specialist (Cleared/Defense)
Location: Remote (flexible schedule based on Eastern Standard Time)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment activities for cleared and uncleared positions supporting federal government contracts, from requisition intake through candidate selection, offer acceptance, and transition to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers, program managers, and senior leadership to understand current and anticipated staffing requirements, labor categories, position qualifications, clearance requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Recruit across a range of professional and technical disciplines, including intelligence analysis, GEOINT and geospatial disciplines, data science and analytics, software and technical positions, program management, security, and mission and administrative support.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for highly cleared, specialized, hard-to-fill, and geographically dispersed positions.
  • Proactively identify and engage qualified active and passive candidates using cleared job boards, commercial job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, employee referrals, industry events, direct sourcing, and other recruiting channels.
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct phone and virtual interviews, assess candidates against position and contract requirements, and coordinate interviews with hiring and program managers.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications against labor category requirements, including education, years of experience, technical qualifications, certifications, and security clearance requirements.
  • Maintain consistent candidate communication throughout the recruiting process and provide a professional candidate experience from initial contact through offer and onboarding.
  • Extend employment offers and coordinate with management, Human Resources, and Security to support pre-employment and onboarding requirements.
  • Build and maintain qualified talent pipelines and candidate benches to support current contracts, anticipated vacancies, proposals, recompetes, and new business opportunities.
  • Support proposal and capture activities by identifying and qualifying incumbent personnel, key personnel, contingent hires, and other candidates required for competitive submissions.
  • Maintain appropriate engagement with contingent candidates and talent pipelines throughout the capture, proposal, award, and transition process.
  • Advise management regarding candidate availability, compensation expectations, labor-market conditions, clearance availability, geographic challenges, and other factors affecting the ability to recruit and retain qualified personnel.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, candidate pipelines, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, and other recruiting measures and adjust sourcing strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain complete and accurate candidate, requisition, communication, and recruiting activity records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Coordinate with Security personnel as appropriate to verify candidate clearance eligibility and access requirements during the hiring process.
  • Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, government contracting requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Represent and promote the companies' missions, capabilities, cultures, and employment opportunities to prospective candidates.
  • Participate in career fairs, industry events, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition initiatives as required..

Education and Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of progressively responsible recruiting or talent acquisition experience, with demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for federal government contractors, the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other cleared environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting candidates with active security clearances, including Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI; experience recruiting candidates with polygraph and/or SAP access requirements preferred.
  • Experience recruiting intelligence, GEOINT/geospatial, data science, technical, cybersecurity, program management, security, or professional services personnel preferred.
  • Experience supporting proposal, capture, contingent-hire, and/or incumbent-capture recruiting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Marketing, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), cleared job boards, LinkedIn, commercial job boards, social media, and direct-sourcing techniques.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment and background screening requirements.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and candidate-assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively source and engage passive candidates in competitive cleared and technical labor markets.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate labor category requirements, position descriptions, clearance requirements, and technical qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of the federal contracting environment and the unique recruiting requirements associated with cleared government contracts.
  • Ability to distinguish between security clearance eligibility, access requirements, and contract-specific qualifications when evaluating candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, program managers, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, proposal requirements, and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and effectively prioritize recruiting activities with limited daily supervision.
  • Ability to maintain candidate relationships over extended proposal and contract-award timelines.
  • Ability to analyze recruiting activity and market conditions and recommend adjustments to sourcing strategies, position requirements, or compensation.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with ATS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting technologies.
  • Ability to create professional recruiting and candidate communication materials.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • Professional demeanor and demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information.
