Job description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Section Manager to lead high-volume semiconductor frontend manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, multinational environment. This role requires strong production management, people leadership, and process knowledge, along with the ability to collaborate closely with Engineering teams to continuously improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and overall operational performance.
This position is primarily focused on manufacturing execution and operations management. The successful candidate should possess a solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and be able to effectively bridge Production and Engineering teams to drive problem-solving, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable business results.
Job Responsibilities
🔹 Production Management
- Lead daily wafer fabrication operations to meet output, cycle time, and delivery targets
- Manage and develop production teams in cleanroom environment
- Monitor and drive manufacturing KPIs (WIP, cycle time, OEE, tool utilization)
- Ensure shift execution discipline and production stability
🔹 Process & Engineering Interface
- Work closely with Process Engineering (PE), Equipment Engineering (EE), and Yield teams
- Support process control, excursion handling, and root cause analysis
- Drive continuous improvement on yield, defect reduction, and productivity
- Support new process qualification and technology transfer
🔹 Operational Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma concepts preferred)
- Optimize fab capacity and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and fab operation standards
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (IE, planning, EE, Materials, Chemical, Physics, etc.)
- Baseline digital fluency, with the ability to use AI-assisted tools to support research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, or operational tasks relevant to the role.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication (frontend)
- 2+ years of team leadership experience (Supervisor / Shift lead)
- Strong understanding of wafer process flow (Litho / Etch / Thin Film / Diffusion / CMP…)
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in shift operations, line management, and manufacturing execution.
- Strong knowledge of WIP management, production flow control, and operational discipline.
- Proven experience in driving AI, digitalization, and smart manufacturing initiatives, with the ability to leverage data-driven decision-making to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing productivity.
- Demonstrated track record in driving cycle time improvement, productivity enhancement, and capacity optimization initiatives.
- Cross-functional alignment with PE/EE.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in multinational semiconductor companies (e.g., US-based)
- Familiar with fab KPI management (yield, cycle time, wip control)
- Experience working closely with PE/EE in process improvement
- Strong English communication skills
- Experience in DRAM / advanced node manufacturing
