Join our team as a less than full-time cook/dietary aide

Elm Crest Manor, a skilled nursing facility in New Salem, ND, is currently seeking a combination role of PM Cook/dietary aide to join our team. As a PM Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents, ensuring that they are nutritious and delicious. You will work closely with our dietary staff to plan menus, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial kitchen, be passionate about food, and be dedicated to providing high-quality meals for our residents.

PM Cook

  • Works 9:30am to 6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary requirements
  • Ensure that food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Monitor food supplies and place orders as needed
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and special events

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for food and a commitment to quality

As a Dietary Aid you will work closely with our residents to provide nutritious and delicious meals while fostering a warm and welcoming environment.

Dietary Aide

  • Works 5:00am to 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals following dietary guidelines and ensuring residents' individual dietary needs are met
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and their families, answering questions and addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, adhering to food safety standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietary team members to ensure a smooth and efficient meal service process
  • Participate in resident activities and engagement opportunities to promote socialization and overall well-being
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a dietary or food service setting preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passion for providing care and support to senior adults
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
