Water Engineering Tech.

Position Summary:

  • Texas Pacific Water Resources (TPWR) is seeking a Water Engineering Technician to support the planning, execution, and financial and schedule management of water infrastructure projects supporting large-scale industrial development throughout West Texas. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, EPC firms, consultants, contractors, vendors, accounting, and internal stakeholders to maintain project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting engineering, construction, utility, infrastructure, or industrial projects and possess strong organizational, financial tracking, and project coordination skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track project budgets, commitments, invoices, and forecasted expenditures
  • Maintain cost reports and assist in monitoring project performance against approved budgets
  • Coordinate invoice review, vendor billing, PO tracking, and payment status with accounting and project management teams
  • Assist with development of project cash flow forecasts and capital expenditure reporting
  • Identify potential budget variances and communicate concerns to project management
  • Maintain project schedules and milestone tracking for engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction activities
  • Track key project deliverables from EPC firms, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support weekly project meetings by preparing agendas, documenting action items, and tracking completion of assigned tasks
  • Monitor critical path items and communicate schedule risks to project leadership
  • Maintain project dashboards and reporting tools

Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting engineering, construction, utility, infrastructure, or industrial projects
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project tracking software.
  • Experience with budget tracking, document control, scheduling, and vendor coordination
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
