Technical Sales Engineer Automotive & Transportation (m/w/d)

Job Description:

This position sits within Arrow Global Components (AGC), a part of Arrow Electronics, and is responsible for building and maintaining influential relationships with customers, suppliers and Arrow stakeholders incl. strong collaboration with several Arrow branches and resources. The role combines demand creation, account management and relationship development, with a strong focus on proactively implementing engineering and supply chain requirements and combining Arrow’s solutions to customer business needs. Additionally, analysing and identifying new markets and trends, with the target to expand Automotive & Transportation customer base frequently.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

• Build and maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers and Arrow partners, to create demand for components and solutions.
• Identify technical needs of complex, emerging or unexplored accounts and match Arrow’s solutions to customer business needs.
• Focus on business development, driving and create new opportunities and a continuously customer expansion within Automotive & Transportation Market, by using technical resources when needed.
• Initiate and schedule regular visits to customer facilities, gain a solid understanding of customer and market requirements and translate those into Arrow business opportunities.
• Execute solution selling through a working knowledge of Arrow’s supply chain solutions and design processes, with emphasis on demand creation and engineering.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and related technologies, attend supplier training events and maintain supplier databases and design registration information accurately.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Higher degree, ideally in Engineering, combined with a strong interest in technology and innovation.
• Around 5 years of experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
• Innovative and fresh approach to business development, with the ability to introduce changes and new solutions supported by business justification.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving, diplomacy and influencing skills.
• Professional and proactive attitude.
• Goal-oriented mindset.
• Business fluent German & English is a must.
