Job Description Summary
The Product Sales Specialist (PSS) is responsible for driving growth of GE HealthCare's Critical Care and Ward Care portfolio across their assigned territory. Working closely with Account Managers, Clinical Applications Specialists and Service teams, the PSS serves as the subject matter expert for patient monitoring solutions, helping healthcare providers improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and workflow effectiveness.This is a commercially focused role requiring an understanding of how acute hospital environments operate, including patient flow, ward-based care delivery, escalation pathways and operational challenges. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, support complex sales cycles and deliver innovative monitoring solutions that address both clinical and operational needs.
This role is responsible for supporting customers across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, requiring regular travel throughout the territory.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Deliver orders, revenue, market share and growth objectives across the Critical Care and Ward Care portfolio.
Support with development and execution of territory and account growth plans aligned to business objectives.
Identify, qualify and progress sales opportunities through the customer buying cycle.
Drive competitive conversions and expand utilisation within the installed customer base.
Build relationships with clinical, operational, procurement and executive stakeholders.
Deliver compelling clinical, operational and financial value propositions tailored to customer needs.
Lead customer presentations, demonstrations and commercial discussions.
Support customer evaluations, trials and tender processes.
Maintain deep knowledge of market trends, customer challenges and competitor activity.
Collaborate closely with Account Managers, Clinical Applications Specialists, Service and Marketing teams to support customer success and business growth.
Support opportunities involving connected care, device integration and digital healthcare solutions where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, Business or equivalent experience.
Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, clinical applications, acute care, critical care or related healthcare environments.
Experience engaging and influencing clinical, operational and procurement stakeholders within hospital environments, with an understanding of complex customer decision-making processes. Commercial or healthcare technology sales experience is advantageous but not essential.
Strong understanding of acute care, critical care, ward-based care delivery, patient flow or hospital operations.
Understanding of NHS hospital environments, including clinical workflows, operational structures, purchasing processes and key stakeholder groups.
Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience within Critical Care, Patient Monitoring, Acute Care, Cardiology, Anaesthesia or Hospital Care environments.
Understanding of hospital patient flow, escalation pathways and operational workflows.
Experience with connected care solutions, healthcare IT systems, medical device integration or clinical networking technologies.
Experience supporting tenders, public procurement frameworks and capital equipment sales processes.
Ability to communicate clinical, operational and economic value to diverse customer groups.
Strong strategic thinking, territory planning and opportunity management skills.
