Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Donor Engagement Specialist will report to the Annual Giving Director and will serve as an annual giving frontline fundraiser. The Donor Engagement Specialist will have direct responsibility for maintaining and managing a personal portfolio with a mandate to identify, cultivate, and solicit annual fund gifts from Roper Xavier Society Members, corporate partners, Roper St. Francis Teammates, and for Roper Xavier Society Gala Sponsorships. The Donor Engagement Specialist will assist in the execution of an annual fundraising plan in collaboration with the Annual Giving Director to increase contributions to the Rx Society.

The successful candidate will primarily focus on meeting and working with annual giving and mid-major gifts donors and prospects to generate revenue for Roper St. Francis Healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Build and maintain a portfolio of 150+ constituents, mostly individuals and companies.

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual fund and potential gifts, up to $10,000 in annual gifts or $50,000 in pledged gifts, from identified suspects and prospects in portfolio. The Leadership Giving Associate Director will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting Rx Society sponsorship gifts of $1,500+.

  • Achieve agreed upon performance metrics including, but not limited to, number of strategic moves, personal visits, and solicitations as well as revenue goals.

  • Develop personalized communications, proposals, reports, and other materials needed to further relationships.

  • Collaborate with the Communications and Annual Giving team to assist with the development and execution of direct mail and electronic solicitations for the Rx Society members.

  • Collaborate with the Stewardship Director and Communications and Stewardship Director to increase stewardship of existing Rx Society members including donor recognition and donor communications.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to strategically leverage personalized outreach to compliment mass solicitations and stewardship activities.

  • Learn about RSFH programs and projects, and effectively communicate the Roper St. Francis Healthcare mission to constituents.

  • Maintain integrity of donor database and input donor interactions in Blackbaud CRM database in a timely manner.

  • Work with Annual Giving Director and Senior Director of Development to grow and maintain our donor relations activities, including bi-annual impact mailings and quarterly donor reports.

  • Assist as needed in all fundraising programs and activities of Roper St. Francis Foundation, and perform other duties as assigned by the leadership of Roper St. Francis Foundation.
