Job Summary:

Title: Manager, Audience Development (Distribution)

Reports to: VP, Digital Marketing & Strategy

Location: New York, NY (In-office, 5 days a week)

The Role:

Roc Nation is seeking an Audience Development Manager to grow and retain fan bases for our diverse roster of artists and owned and operated properties. This position is responsible for creating and executing data-driven campaigns that expand audience reach, drive engagement, and build fan loyalty. The ideal candidate is highly connected, proactive, and has a passion for music, digital media, and a strong grasp of audience insights and growth strategies.

You will collaborate closely with marketing and creative teams, crafting strategies that enhance artists' digital presence and maximize impact across streaming and social platforms. This role owns a portfolio of brand relationships and contributes directly to achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes high-impact digital marketing campaigns that focus on growing and engaging fan bases, targeting key metrics like monthly listeners, subscribers, and international reach

  • Leverages data insights to create personalized experiences and retention-focused initiatives, targeting key metrics such as repeat listeners, audience interactions, and subscriber growth

  • Partners closely with teams across creative, marketing and digital to align on campaign strategies, messaging, and promotional assets;

  • Implements strategies for loyalty programs, exclusive content, and direct-to-fan experiences that deepen fan relationships and encourage long-term engagement

  • Uses social media, email/SMS marketing, and influencer partnerships to nurture fan communities, fostering a sense of exclusivity and connection with artists

  • Collaborates with influencers and content creators, leveraging their platforms to expand reach, connect with micro-communities, and enhance streaming performance

  • Develops post-launch campaigns and follow-ups that continue to drive engagement after an initial release, keeping fans invested in the artist's journey

  • Works with the artist teams to develop newsletter & CRM strategies

  • Builds and maintains relationships with audiences through community management, direct interaction, and personalized outreach that fosters a sense of connection and community

  • Reports on retention-focused campaign results, sharing insights with stakeholders and proposing improvements to continuously enhance audience loyalty programs

  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in audience development, digital marketing, or social media strategy, ideally within the music or entertainment industries

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies based on performance insights

  • Passion for music and a strong understanding of fan communities and digital trends in the music industry

  • Experience with CRM platforms, fan segmentation, and loyalty programs is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to execute under pressure, highly organized, and proactive

  • A team player with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms

  • Proven success in growing and retaining digital audiences, with a strong understanding of social media, content marketing, and email engagement strategies

The expected compensation for this position is:

$76,000.00 USD - $95,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
