Job Description

As a Trust Investment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing fiduciary investment relationships and helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals. You will partner with Trust Administration Officers, Financial Advisors, and clients to develop and implement investment strategies that align with trust objectives and fiduciary standards. This role offers the opportunity to influence portfolio outcomes, contribute to business growth, and collaborate across a highly skilled wealth management organization. Your expertise will directly support client retention, asset growth, and exceptional trust investment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Financial Advisors and Trust Administration Officers to manage trust investment assets while upholding fiduciary standards and client objectives.

  • Review asset allocations, develop Investment Policy Statements, and recommend investment strategies aligned with client goals and risk tolerance.

  • Monitor portfolio performance, conduct investment reviews, and present recommendations and results to advisors, clients, and co-trustees.

  • Evaluate legacy holdings, concentrated positions, and special assets, including real estate and closely held businesses, and recommend appropriate management strategies.

  • Serve as fiduciary investment manager for assigned accounts, overseeing portfolio construction, rebalancing, distributions, investment monitoring, and transaction approvals.

  • Participate in investment governance activities, including investment committee initiatives, proxy voting, corporate actions, and special projects.

  • Support new business development by analyzing prospective portfolios, contributing investment expertise during the sales process, and assisting with trust account onboarding and funding.

  • Review trust agreements, asset statements, and supporting documentation to evaluate account suitability and guide advisors through implementation and account acceptance processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of investment management experience, including trust investment management, fiduciary account oversight, and portfolio management responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of investment strategies, asset allocation, portfolio analysis, fiduciary principles, and management of complex or special assets

  • Ability to analyze investment performance, assess risk, and develop recommendations that support client objectives and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and business partners

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, collaboration, and relationship management capabilities; experience influencing stakeholders is preferred

Applicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
