Description
This is a 12-month FTC/secondment opportunity as Manager, People AI Products & Portfolio, responsible for the day-to-day coordination, delivery and operational management of the People AI portfolio and Enterprise Agent activities across the People Directorate. You’ll help turn the agreed People AI roadmap into action, making sure initiatives move efficiently from idea through discovery, design and delivery to adoption and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Centres of Excellence, Functional Leads, Employee Experience, Technology and Group AI, you’ll provide the operational structure that keeps the portfolio moving. You’ll coordinate product delivery, facilitate discovery, manage operational backlogs, support governance and help ensure AI-enabled products deliver measurable business value.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the People AI portfolio, manage AI demand intake and maintain accurate, up-to-date backlogs, roadmaps and delivery plans so initiatives progress in line with agreed priorities.
- Facilitate and support discovery workshops and requirements gathering with Functional Leads, Centres of Excellence and Employee Experience teams, translating business needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, product documentation, process maps and functional specifications.
- Coordinate product delivery with the AI Agent Factory, Technology teams and third-party partners, including backlog refinement, testing, user acceptance, business readiness, implementation, operational handover and lifecycle activities.
- Support Enterprise Agent product operations by maintaining the Enterprise Agent Central Hub backlog, coordinating enhancements, releases and continuous improvement, and supporting shared standards, reusable capabilities, governance and cross-functional delivery.
- Coordinate product launch and adoption activity across the People Directorate, producing communications and user guidance, monitoring adoption, utilisation and user feedback, and supporting continuous improvement based on data and operational performance.
- Produce dashboards and reporting covering product performance, adoption, portfolio health and value metrics, track benefits and value realisation, and highlight risks, dependencies, delivery milestones and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support effective governance and stakeholder coordination by preparing materials for governance forums and prioritisation meetings, maintaining RAID logs and portfolio records, facilitating cross-functional planning and supporting the People AI Community of Practice.
Essentials requirements:
- Experience coordinating digital products, technology initiatives or transformation programmes within a complex organisation, including experience working in Agile, product-led or project delivery environments.
- Experience facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements and documenting functional solutions clearly and accurately.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and experience maintaining backlogs, roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate delivery across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including experience producing reporting, dashboards and management information.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
Desirable
- Experience supporting AI, Generative AI or Microsoft Copilot initiatives.
- Experience with HR Technology platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow or Cornerstone.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Monday.com or similar product management tools.
- Understanding of product management and product operations disciplines.
- Experience supporting change management, communications and user adoption.
- Knowledge of employee experience or HR operating models.
