Role Details:  

 

Reporting to Director & Senior Manager  in the TDS Data Management Office, Manager– Data Management will be responsible for supporting the Tooling implementation for all data management activities for TD Securities.  

Primary Tools of interest include the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (CDIP) and Collibra Data Quality & Observability (DQ&O) module. 

 

 

Job Accountabilities: 

 

Data Governance & Metadata Management 

  • Data Governance & Standards Adherence: Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management Standards by supporting the Collibra tooling implementation for various TDS/Enterprise-wide initiatives 

  • Manage & support the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (CDIP) by cataloging Business/Technical Metadata and the associated Data Lineage across the Data Supply Chain 

  • Support data modernization and cloud migration initiatives through lineage and metadata management activities 

  • Lead the POCs/exploratory use cases with various business & technical stakeholders and showcase the platform capabilities & the associated business value to Senior Management 

Data Quality & Observability 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Data Quality Rules, scorecards, and monitor frameworks using Collibra Data Quality & Observability.  

  • Implement automated controls for completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness, and validity of enterprise data.  

  • Configure anomaly detection, observability metrics, alerting mechanisms, and proactive issue resolution processes.  

  • Analyze data quality trends and coordinate remediation activities with business and technology teams.  

  • Develop dashboards and reporting capabilities to track data health and governance metrics. 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, Architects, and Engineering teams for Regulatory/Business critical initiatives and promote platform adoption 

  • Facilitate working sessions and stakeholder workshops to train users 

  • Provide guidance and training on Collibra capabilities and governance processes. 

Requirements

  • University or post-graduate degree; professional data management designation would be considered an asset. 

  • Collibra University certifications 

  • Total 7+ years of experience

  • 5+ years experience in Collibra implementations across the Collibra Intelligence Platform and Collibra Data Quality & Observability modules 

  • Expertise in configuring metadata ingestion, lineage, building custom workflows, curating business glossaries, and configuring governance operating models in Collibra.

  • Strong understanding of data profiling, data quality rule development, and observability concepts. 

  • Experience implementing federated governance and data quality operating models 

  • Experience integrating Collibra with enterprise platforms like Databricks, DREMIO, Power BI 

  • Effective verbal & written communication 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships within & across teams 

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
