What you’ll do
Boiler Operation: Operate and supervise high-pressure steam boilers continuously, monitor steam pressure, and manage manual release and blow-off valves to ensure safe and efficient boiler performance.
Maintenance Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities related to the powerhouse and facilities, including preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability.
Equipment Upkeep: Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement on boiler components, tubes, firebox, compressors, and firefighting pump house to maintain optimal condition and compliance with safety inspections.
Utilities Management: Oversee smooth supply and operation of all utilities on site, including conducting chemical water analysis and monitoring fuel supply levels to support production needs.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company rules, safety standards, and housekeeping practices, actively participating in energy-saving projects and supporting a zero-harm safety culture.
Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the Facility Engineer and Engineering Manager, assist maintenance teams, and accompany authorities during official equipment inspections.
Travel Requirements: Primarily site-based with very limited travel for new boiler installations or vendor Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
Certified Grade 1 Boilerman Certificate issued by JKKP Malaysia (DOSH) – mandatory legal requirement
Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience operating and managing large industrial boilers in manufacturing or production environments
Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Malaysian citizen or holder of relevant residence status
Nice-to-haves:
Experience in manufacturing/production operations with exposure to facilities and utilities management
Familiarity with energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices
Ability to work effectively within a rotating shift pattern and a 24/6 operational environment
Experience liaising with vendors during equipment testing or installation
