Job Vacancy: Excavator Operator (Offshore Operations)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Excavator Operator to join our Offshore Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavators while ensuring full compliance with company, client, and regulatory health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is clean, well-maintained, and fit for operation.
• Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
• Report equipment defects, breakdowns, accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, emergency drills, and other HSE initiatives.
• Complete required inspection checklists, maintenance records, and monthly audit documentation.
• Ensure all certifications, registrations, and equipment inspections are current before commencing work.
• Verify that all PPE and excavator attachments are in safe working condition.
• Ensure the excavator's swing radius is properly barricaded, and warning signage is in place.
• Work closely with banksmen and other team members to ensure safe lifting and relocation activities.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure the excavator remains free from oil-based mud and cement contamination.
• Follow all client operational procedures, including site traffic rules and emergency response requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as an Excavator Operator, preferably in offshore, oil & gas, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of safe excavator operating practices.
• Valid excavator operator certification or license.
• Good understanding of HSE/QHSE standards and safe work procedures.
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of working in offshore environments.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
