The Director of Segment Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Chicken is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic financial analysis for the Chicken segment. This role serves as a key finance partner to segment leadership, providing financial insights that drive operational performance, margin improvement, and strategic decision-making. The Director partners closely with operations, commercial, supply chain, and corporate finance teams to support the Chicken segment’s financial objectives, including forecasting, budgeting, capital planning, and long-range planning. This role ensures accurate financial visibility into segment performance and helps leadership identify risks, opportunities, and actions to improve results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and forecasting for the Chicken segment, including weekly outlooks, monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑range plans
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to Chicken segment leadership, providing insights and analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making
- Drive financial performance management through analysis of revenue, cost, margin, and profitability trends, identifying risks and opportunities
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to evaluate performance drivers and support cost, productivity, and margin improvement initiatives
- Lead scenario modeling and financial analysis to support business initiatives, investments, and key strategic decisions
- Support capital planning and investment evaluation, including financial analysis and prioritization of capital initiatives
- Partner with corporate finance to ensure alignment of segment forecasts, financial reporting, and planning assumptions with enterprise expectations
- Lead and develop FP&A team members while driving continuous improvement in financial reporting, analytics, and planning processes

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced finance degree preferred
- Experience: prefer 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or business finance roles
- Experience supporting large operating segments or complex manufacturing or food production businesses preferred
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analytics
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior business leaders
- Strong ability to influence and partner with cross‑functional stakeholders
Supervisory
- May manage and develop a team of FP&A analysts or managers supporting the Chicken segment
Travel
- Minimal travel required
