Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a high-profile technology data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and follow established visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures to help support authorized entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
