About the role

We are offering a 3-month internship opportunity in Geology / Exploration in Rio Tinto Exploration based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. We are an open, connected international team of technical specialists using some of the most exciting data and tools on the planet. We are the world leader in automation and smart mining. Working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:
Gain exposure to a range of activities taken on by the Geology team such as field geologic mapping, core logging, sampling and data analysis, and geologic modelling.
Be involved in a dynamic team and operation that will allow you to be exposed to and gain valuable hands-on experience to greenfields exploration projects in the United States.
What you’ll bring
At least one year completed in a Geology/Geoscience program or other related field
Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead
Flexibility and autonomy
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
*To be eligible, you must be a registered student at a recognized American university, have the right to work full-time in the United States and have a valid Driver’s license.
