A Day In The LifeThe Sr. Manager, Investments & Asset Management, under the direction of theHead of Family Office, will support in wealth creation for The Friedkin Group (TFG) and help optimize asset allocation across the portfolio of TFG businesses and its affiliates. This is a dynamic, broad-based investment role offering the opportunity to develop as an investor beyond a traditional style box. The Sr. Manager will assist in evaluating co-investment and direct investment opportunities as a generalist investor. With an objective lens across internally sourced and external-manager investment opportunities, the Sr. Manager will assist with identifying and monitoring external investment managers across various asset classes including but not limited to Private Equity and Venture Capital global fund investments. Importantly, as each team member operates in multiple capacities, the Sr. Manager will apply financial planning and analysis skills in the areas of financial reporting, a key component for success in the role, and creating financial decision support for assets under ownership. This successful candidate will be a collaborative team player willing to contribute to ad hoc projects across investments, business development, asset management and other departments to support family office and shareholder's objectives.

 

As a Sr. Manager, Investments & Asset Management you will:

 

Direct & Co-Investment Analysis

  • Evaluate co-investment opportunities sourced from private equity sponsors, family offices, and other direct-deal networks, including business, financial, and structural review.
  • Build and stress-test financial models (LBO, DCF, returns/IRR/MOIC sensitivity) to assess deal economics and downside scenarios.
  • Support due diligence workstreams: management assessment, market and competitive positioning, quality of earnings review coordination, and legal/tax structure review alongside outside counsel and advisors.
  • Draft investment memoranda and presentation materials summarizing opportunity, risks, structure, and recommendation for investment committee review.
  • Track deal pipeline, coordinate diligence timelines, and liaise with sponsors, investment banks, and co-investors.

Fund Investment Analysis

  • Screen and evaluate prospective fund managers (GPs) across strategies, including track record analysis, attribution, and benchmarking against relevant indices and peer sets.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of fund terms, fee structures, cash flow projections, and portfolio construction fit.
  • Conduct operational and organizational due diligence, including reference calls and review of fund documentation (PPM, LPA, side letters).
  • Monitor existing fund investments through capital call and distribution tracking, performance reporting, and periodic manager check-ins.
  • Prepare fund recommendation memos and maintain manager research files.

Portfolio & Reporting

  • Maintain portfolio-level tracking of direct, co-investment, and fund positions, including valuations and performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI).
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, capital account reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across the private investment portfolio.
  • Perform and coordinate portfolio construction and risk analytics, monitor investments performance, and engage in risk management activities as needed for multi-asset investments portfolio and/or selective asset class/es, as part of overall total portfolio construction framework.

Asset Management

  • Lead the review of the performance of various assets owned and operated by The Friedkin Group or its affiliated companies including but limited to:
  • Review monthly financial results of the various other asset classes and other family owned operating businesses.
  • Identify any unusual trends, performance opportunities and/or KPI trends that need to be addressed or understood further to drive effective business decisions.
  • Oversee workflow inputs, assumptions, and business plans and forecasts, including capital allocation decisions and related sensitivity and scenario analysis to budgets and performance of assets under ownership.
  • Interact with business unit affiliates and or departments on a regular basis to:
  • Identify and quantify potential financial benefits of improvement ideas and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of performance measurements and other financial tools
  • Assist business units in reporting and translating performance measurements so that they can drive changes
  • Communicate and collaborate on business decisions between the Friedkin group and other internal functional groups (namely, tax, accounting, legal)
  • Provide out of the box thinking on solving issues
  • Partner with affiliate financial team members in establishing appropriate financial thinking and decision support
  • Participate in developing diagnostic analysis specific to a business unit
  • Assist affiliates in streamlining and eliminating transactions and efforts
  • Access and communicated the financial benefits of improvements to current processes
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics from a four-year college or university
  • Master's Degree , MBA and/or similar credentials or certifications highly desirable.
  • 8 to 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense.
  • Advanced Skills and Experience with MS office products are required (primarily MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Preferred

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
