Job Summary :
The Outreach and Business Development Liaison serves as the primary relationship manager between the organization and its referral sources, community partners, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders. This position is responsible for developing strategic partnerships, increasing referral volume, promoting organizational services, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing the organization's presence throughout the service area.The Liaison works collaboratively with clinical, operational, and executive leadership teams to support market growth, strengthen customer relationships, and improve access to high-quality healthcare services.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals and service utilization.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate partnerships with physicians, healthcare organizations, employers, community agencies, and other referral sources.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive trends.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective referral sources and business relationships.
- Support the implementation of organizational growth initiatives and service line expansion efforts.
Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits with referral sources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for outreach-related concerns and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service and referral management.
Community Engagement
- Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, professional associations, and networking functions.
- Promote organizational services and programs through educational presentations and outreach activities.
- Develop partnerships that support community health initiatives and organizational visibility.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the organization in the community.
Marketing and Communication
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Communicate service offerings, clinical programs, and organizational updates to referral partners.
- Assist in developing strategies to enhance market awareness and customer engagement.
- Provide feedback regarding customer needs, market changes, and emerging opportunities.
Data Management and Reporting
- Track outreach activities, referral patterns, and business development metrics.
- Maintain accurate records within customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Analyze referral data and prepare reports for leadership.
- Monitor achievement of outreach goals and key performance indicators.
Collaboration
- Partner with clinical leaders and operational teams to improve referral processes and patient access.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives related to growth and market development.
- Support recruitment and retention efforts through community and professional engagement.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare business development, physician relations, outreach, sales, marketing, or community engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area.
Preferred Qualifications (this is negotiable - just what Copilot recommended)
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field.
- Experience in hospital, post-acute care, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, long-term care, or specialty healthcare services.
- Knowledge of healthcare referral networks and reimbursement models.
- Experience working with physicians, healthcare executives, and community stakeholders.
