We’re looking for a Digital Product Designer to join HCF’s Digital Enterprise team and help shape the experiences our members use every day across our website and mobile app

Digital Product Designer

12-month contract | Full-time | Hybrid/Flexible | HCF House - Sydney CBD

Design digital experiences that make healthcare easier

Working within a cross-functional squad, you’ll design and improve key member journeys including understanding cover, managing claims and finding a provider. You’ll have the opportunity to see your work make a real difference to members.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive design team that shares ideas, runs design critiques and experiments with new tools and ways of working. You’ll also have a growth plan to support your development and future career goals.

What you’ll do

• Translate member needs and business objectives into simple, intuitive digital experiences.
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Collaborate with product, technology, content, brand and business teams to bring ideas to life.
• Conduct and facilitate user research and usability testing, using insights to iterate your designs.
• Contribute to and work within our evolving design system.
• Champion accessibility and ensure designs meet WCAG standards.
• Use analytics and research to inform design decisions and measure impact.
• Advocate for human-centred design across your squad and wider teams.

What you’ll bring

• Experience designing digital products across web and mobile.
• Strong Figma and prototyping skills.
• Experience conducting user research and testing.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly within cross-functional delivery teams.
• An action-oriented mindset — you like testing ideas, making progress and getting things done.
• An understanding of accessibility and WCAG standards.

Experience with AEM, design systems, Agile delivery, or healthcare/insurance is desirable but not essential.

This is initially a 12-month contract, with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent opportunity.
