Join the Europe OU Corporate Affairs Team in London for a 12-month industrial placement, starting 28th June 2027.

Are you a student at University looking to kick start your career in Corporate Affairs, Communications, Media or Public/Government Affairs?  You will have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from an experienced team who will support you to reach your full potential.

Europe OU Corporate Affairs Industrial Placement: Key Responsibilities:

Supporting our corporate affairs priorities across our 7 clusters that form the Europe Operating Unit, including:

• Daily media monitoring in our most important markets – escalating media issues to the right level and partnering with global communications.
• Supporting major policy projects in the UK and other markets, interaction with government officials.
• Representing Haleon at external events with policymakers and key opinion formers in our priority areas – advancing our policy asks in healthcare.
• Supporting internal comms for the operating unit, driving higher employee engagement.

Education Requirements:

Currently studying for your Undergraduate Degree Preferably in strategic communications, media, public affairs, corporate affairs, government relations, politics, healthcare policy or closely related subjects.

If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) or an Integrated Masters Degree and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university.  Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

 

Role Start Date: 28th June 2027

Application Process:

The application process has a total of up to 4 stages:

• Application – information will be required regarding your education and Right to Work.
• Online Assessment – you will be asked to complete a behaviour based online assessment and one-way video interview supported by Hirevue.
• Interview – if selected you will be invited to attend a final stage virtual interview; The interview will consist of a competency-based interview and may include a case study/technical exercise.
• Offer – candidates will receive an outcome within 2 weeks following interview.

 

Interviews will be held in November/December 2026
