Tradesmen International is immediately hiring Skilled Carpenter of all skill levels for projects located in or around Charles City, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Helper Job Scope:
- Assess water-damaged areas and assist with restoration plans
- Perform water extraction and drying processes using specialized equipment
- Clean carpets and surfaces affected by water damage
- Safely use hand tools and power tools for restoration tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Document completed work and restoration activities
Apprentice & Journeyman Job Scope:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, steel, and other construction materials
- Build rough frameworks, walls, floors, doorframes, and concrete forms
- Install doors, windows, molding, hardware, cabinetry, and other finish components
- Perform framing and finish carpentry work
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Helper Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience with hand and power tools preferred
- Restoration, construction, or general labor experience is a plus
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Apprentice & Journeyman Requirements:
- Previous carpentry experience required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Experience with framing, finish carpentry, and general construction
- Must have a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
