Job Description

WHO WE ARE

Your members run lean. Your donors expect impact. Your staff is juggling a dozen systems to make it happen. At Momentive Software, we build the technology that makes that easier.

We are the leading software platform for nonprofits and associations, serving more than 37,000 mission-driven organizations for over 40 years. Our portfolio covers every core need: association management (MC Trade, NimbleAMS, YourMembership, WildApricot, and more), event management (A2Z Events), learning management (Path LMS), fundraising (GiveSmart), accounting (MIP Accounting), certification management, career centers, volunteer management, and community tools — connected through one ecosystem. MomentiveIQ, our AI layer, automates workflows, personalizes engagement, and surfaces insights across every product.

We're remote-first, inclusive by design, and serious about the work because our clients' missions are serious.

WHO WE NEED

We're looking for an Implementation Consultant to join our Client Services team. You'll lead onboarding projects for new clients and deliver professional services consulting for existing ones. You combine the consultative instincts to guide an executive through a discovery session with the technical depth to configure a platform and validate that it works the way the client needs it to.

This role sits at the intersection of project management, technical configuration, and client relationship-building. You will work across our association management and learning management platforms, helping organizations go live, adopt best practices, and get full value from their investment.

WHO YOU ARE

You're an experienced implementation professional who learns new platforms quickly and explains them clearly — to a technical administrator and to an executive director in the same week. You manage competing priorities without dropping details, hold timelines without losing relationships, and push for quality without waiting to be asked.

You treat every client engagement as a consulting project: listen first, configure second, train third. You document what you build, share what you learn, and look for ways to make the next implementation better than the last.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Lead Client Implementations

  • Own end-to-end onboarding projects from kickoff through go-live, managing scope, timelines, milestones, and risks throughout.
  • Set and maintain client expectations — communicating changes proactively, surfacing issues early, and keeping projects moving through shifting priorities.
  • Hold clients and internal stakeholders accountable to agreed timelines without damaging the relationship.
  • Navigate changing requirements while maintaining project momentum and delivering successful outcomes.

Configure and Deliver Solutions

Conduct discovery to understand each client's business processes, then translate those requirements into platform configurations that fit how they actually work.

  • Configure application settings, workflows, and platform options to meet each client's functional and reporting needs.
  • Support data imports and validate data setup to ensure a clean, accurate go-live.
  • Define, execute, and document testing to confirm client requirements are met before cutover.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration and system setup issues throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Guide and Enable Client Teams

  • Help clients understand how to get the most from the platform by sharing best practices, recommending workflow approaches, and connecting their business processes to platform capabilities.
  • Act as the primary point of guidance throughout the implementation — answering questions, clarifying how features apply to their specific context, and helping teams feel ready at go-live.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level, from day-to-day administrators to executive leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor: surface risks before they become problems, help clients make informed configuration decisions, and set them up for long-term success.

Strengthen the Team

  • Collaborate across Client Success, Support, Sales, and Product to deliver clean handoffs and consistent client experiences.
  • Document client configurations, customizations, and key decisions so post-implementation transitions are smooth.
  • Help build and improve team assets — playbooks, templates, process guides — so our implementation practice gets more consistent and repeatable over time.
  • Share what you know: contribute to documentation, provide product feedback, and support teammates on the platforms and processes you know well.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In Your First 90 Days

Days 1–30: Get grounded.

  • Complete onboarding on our platforms, internal systems, and implementation methodology.
  • Shadow active client implementations to understand how we run projects end to end.
  • Establish working relationships with cross-functional partners in Client Success, Support, and Product.

Days 31–60: Start executing.

  • Take ownership of straightforward implementation projects with support from the team.
  • Begin managing client communications, configuration tasks, and project milestones independently on simpler engagements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in core platform configuration workflows and data setup processes.

Days 61–90: Build momentum.

  • Carry a small active portfolio with increasing independence across project types.
  • Identify at least one area where you can contribute to improving how the team works.

At 6–12 Months

  • Independently manage a full client portfolio from kickoff through go-live.
  • Consistently meet or exceed client satisfaction (CSAT) targets at implementation close.
  • Deliver implementations on or ahead of contracted timelines.
  • Identify and resolve implementation risks before they escalate to client-impacting issues.
  • Contribute at least one improvement to an existing team asset — a playbook, template, or process guide — that makes future implementations smoother.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in SaaS implementation, technical consulting, or software delivery.
  • Proven track record managing multiple concurrent implementation projects.
  • Experience with Association Management Software (AMS), Learning Management Software (LMS), or similar nonprofit or membership platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Comfort configuring SaaS platforms — navigating admin settings, workflow tools, and configuration options to match client requirements.
  • Experience supporting data imports and validating data accuracy prior to go-live.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience with project or development management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve day-to-day work — whether for drafting communications, researching solutions, or finding faster ways to get things done.

Professional Skills

  • Clear, direct written and verbal communication — including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management instincts: you prioritize well, track details, and keep work moving.
  • Client-first mindset with genuine investment in client outcomes, not just on-time delivery.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely across cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement: you look for patterns, document what works, and share it.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) is a plus.
