Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor material availability and production shortages using inventory and production systems.

  • Research and locate materials needed to support production operations.

  • Complete inventory, material movement, and work order transactions accurately within company systems.

  • Generate quality notifications and transfer materials as required for quality review.

  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy activities.

  • Review and resolve work order discrepancies to support inventory and financial accuracy.

  • Prioritize and deliver urgent materials to production areas to minimize downtime.

  • Move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to designated locations.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to material movement and inventory control.

  • Coordinate material flow between production departments to support manufacturing schedules.

  • Monitor shortage reports and communicate material status updates to production and planning teams.

  • Audit and replenish Kanban inventory to support continuous production operations.

  • Ensure adequate levels of production materials are maintained on the manufacturing floor.

  • Verify material quantities and product identification for accuracy.

  • Stage materials for subsequent manufacturing operations.

  • Maintain organized material storage areas in accordance with company standards.

  • Assist with inventory management of indirect materials and production supplies.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience preferred, ideally within a regulated or medical device environment.

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

  • Experience working with inventory systems, material transactions, and production documentation.

  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills to verify inventory, quantities, and records.

  • Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.

  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting materials throughout the shift.
