The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking an Operational Excellence Co-op, Spring 2027 to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

In this role, you will support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by working hands-on in process improvement, data analysis, and project coordination within the business or manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the delivery of Six Sigma Training

• Design and trial engagement strategies to improve the effectiveness of online training delivery

• Leverage Power BI to create reporting that highlights incorrect response trends for Six Sigma and OpEx exams, enabling data-driven evaluation of training effectiveness

• Update Six Sigma training content to include AI tools and methods, create Six Sigma AI agents to support project completion and feedback, and assist with project update scheduling, completion accountability, and records maintenance

What We Seek:

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience with Power BI, Minitab, and/or JMP is a plus

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
Graduation year 2027, 2028, or 2029 preferred.

• Must be a currently enrolled student

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June

• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
