The Role:
AlphaSense is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Annotations Specialist II to play an expanded role in advancing data annotation and analysis for AI model training and evaluating AI-based model outputs.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of AI researchers and product managers focused on developing next-generation Generative AI (GenAI) features for market intelligence. In this role, you will take on greater ownership of annotation quality, apply your finance background to review AI model outputs, and work closely with the team to ensure the functionality and quality of your assigned module.
Who You Are:
- MBA in Finance (or related field) paired with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com/BMS/BBA).
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in financial research, data annotation, or financial data operations.
- Fluency in financial statements, corporate filings, earnings calls, and capital market dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage complex data projects with an absolute zero defect standard and strategic rigor.
- Exceptional communication skills to translate domain nuances into actionable insights for engineering leaders.
- Ability to clearly explain technical and financial edge cases to research engineers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with workspace tools (G Suite, MS Excel/Office)
What You'll Do:
- Lead the curation, structuring, and benchmarking of complex financial datasets used to fine tune state of the art LLMs.
- Serve as a subject matter authority alongside AI Research Engineers in evaluating complex model behaviors, diagnosing edge cases, and mitigating hallucination risks.
- Establish best in class data guidelines and validation frameworks to act as the ultimate gatekeeper for production ready GenAI features.
- Drive tool pipeline innovation by identifying pipeline bottlenecks and designing automated, scalable workflows for data teams.
- Provide strategic feedback to build faster, smarter internal annotation tools and data pipelines.
- Act as the final gatekeeper for accuracy before GenAI features go live.
- Drive continuous improvements in our internal tools, designing smarter workflows that accelerate data delivery and raise accuracy baselines.
- Communicate project progress and timeline to project stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends in data annotation, financial data taxonomy, AI ethics, and emerging GenAI tech.
