ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Sr. Manager, Identity Security & Access Management (IAM) at Skechers is a key member of our global information security team who will work as a subject matter expert, trusted partner, and ambassador to help protect Skechers critical customer facing and core business applications. This role leads the identity security program responsible for policy, architecture direction, governance, roadmap, and identity risk reduction across workforce, privileged, non-human, and AI agent identities. We are looking for someone who will continue growing and maturing a practice that is focused equally on enablement as well as assurance, who will apply a technology first approach to providing seamless secure authentication and the frameworks necessary to enable humans, machines, and agents to operate securely at scale.
Skechers' increasingly AI enabled hybrid technology environment requires an individual who is well versed in traditional and modern applications, cloud infrastructure, automation, and identity platforms, and who is comfortable operating in an advisory or hands on leadership role as the situation demands. This role partners closely with IT infrastructure and operations teams that administer identity providers and access processes, helping define standards and engineer solutions that can be adopted across the enterprise. The candidate who will find the most success and fulfillment brings a genuine interest and passion for information security, a love for learning, a positive attitude, and a desire to roll up their sleeves and dive into the deep end.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the team responsible for identity security and access management at Skechers, including IAM engineering, governance, and architecture.
- Own IAM program strategy, roadmap, priorities, budget planning, metrics, and reporting.
- Establish and maintain IAM policies, security standards, reference architectures, and best practice guidelines for workforce, privileged, non-human, and AI agent identities.
- Provide direction and support for the adoption and management of phishing resistant authentication, passkeys, risk-based authentication, PAM, and just in time services.
- Lead identity governance and administration strategy, including access review frameworks, evidence automation, remediation tracking, and control maturity.
- Develop and mature governance for non-human identities, including service accounts, API keys, bots, automation accounts, workload identities, and AI agents.
- Guide identity risk reduction and posture management across traditional systems, SaaS, cloud, and modern application infrastructure.
- Develop, build, and maintain technology patterns, integrations, and automation frameworks that enable contextual authentication, authorization, and scalable access governance.
- Partner with IT Infrastructure and IT Operations teams that administer platforms such as Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID to define requirements, provide technical guidance, and support adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business functions to develop and maintain the roadmap for enterprise identity security solutions, including privileged access, identity governance, machine identity, and cloud entitlement management capabilities.
- Oversee IAM technology vendors, implementation planning, product roadmap alignment, support escalation, and service quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IAM and identity security best practices, including Zero Trust Architecture, non-human identity management, AI agent governance, and cloud identity risk.
- Stay up to date and informed on changing IT and information security trends.
- Create, communicate, and continuously monitor and improve metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams to help drive security maturity.
- Contribute positively to the culture of information security across the org.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Excellent understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access, attribute-based access, least privilege, segregation of duties, entitlement management, and identity lifecycle concepts.
- Proven experience leading a practice around identities, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, permissions, privileged access, and non-human identities.
- Positive track record developing IAM strategy, standards, architecture patterns, and implementation roadmaps in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with identity platforms and capabilities such as Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, LDAP, IGA, PAM, SSO, MFA, risk-based authentication, and passkeys.
- Experience with IAM governance, user access review frameworks, control design, evidence automation, compliance partnership, and remediation tracking.
- Working understanding of identity security risk, posture management, cloud entitlement management, Zero Trust concepts, and governance for machine identities and AI agents.
- Ability to partner with infrastructure, operations, application, cloud, and business teams where identity operations are owned outside the information security team.
- Ability to manage program roadmaps, budget input, technology evaluations, vendor relationships, implementation oversight, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to communicate issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Ability to excel in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
