Description
We believe talent deserves a human touch. Your application will be read by an actual person who’s excited to discover the real you.
The Vice President of Growth & Sales will lead the next stage of commercial growth for a $45 million technology solutions and services provider serving primarily lower mid-market organizations. Reporting to the President, the VP will build the commercial engine needed to evolve the company from a primarily regional, resale-led provider into a growing, services-led technology partner with increasing recurring revenue, stronger margins, deeper customer relationships, and a broader geographic presence. This is a senior executive role with significant opportunity for growth; exceptional performance and demonstrated enterprise leadership could create opportunities for broader responsibility over time.Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the New Charter CRO on portfolio-wide sales programs, tools, and playbooks relevant to the company's growth strategy.
- Partner with leadership on services strategy, pricing, customer experience, strategic planning, budgeting, and market-expansion opportunities.
- Responsible for the development and execution of the company's growth strategy, including sales, pipeline, and forecasting.
- Build a disciplined, scalable sales organization capable of consistently delivering above-market organic growth.
- Lead the shift toward recurring and contracted revenue, partnering with the President and service leadership on packaging, pricing, and positioning of recurring offerings.
- Grow existing customer relationships through structured account planning, segmentation, and cross-selling.
- Lead geographic expansion into new markets across Tennessee and, over time, the broader Southeast.
- Develop, and lead high-performing sales leaders and sales professionals.
- Partner with marketing on measurable demand generation, and with service and operations leadership to ensure commitments align with delivery capacity.
- Participate as a member of the executive leadership team in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational development.
- Provide the President and ownership with transparent reporting, reliable forecasting, and market intelligence.
- Maintain clear accountability for the Sales and Growth organization while contributing to local and enterprise-level planning and decision-making.
Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of progressively responsible commercial and business leadership experience.
- Significant leadership experience in a technology solutions or services organization (IT services, managed services, VAR, or systems integration).
- Experience leading sales for a $25M–$100M+ business or comparable business unit.
- Demonstrated success generating sustained, above-market organic growth.
- Experience selling both hardware/software solutions and technology services, including transitioning customers toward recurring-revenue relationships.
- Strong understanding of managed-services and recurring-revenue business models.
- Experience selling to SMB and lower mid-market organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts as well as acquire new customers.
- Experience building and managing high-performing sales organizations.
- Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, sales methodology, compensation, and commercial analytics.
- Experience entering and developing new geographic markets.
- Strong financial acumen, including gross profit, EBITDA, cash flow, and customer economics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across sales, operations, service delivery, and finance.
- Experience with acquisitions, private-equity-backed organizations, or businesses undergoing transformation is a plus.
