We are looking for candidates who have a passion for meeting the needs of our complex medical/surgical patients. New or experienced nurses are welcome to join our team. This unit is the perfect place to hone your care of Medical/Surgical patients or can be used as a great stepping stone if you have future interest in working in the ICU, OR, or Emergency Department.Broadway Med Surg is a 47-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving Nephrology, Urology, Oral-Maxillary/Facial, and general surgery patients. Just a few of the many surgery patient populations include gynecologic, colorectal, urologic, hernia repair, breast and plastics, laparoscopic procedures, maxillofacial, and kidney transplant.

Performs clerical services and tasks for a specific unit in healthcare facilities.Job Description
Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries from patients/residents, outlying facilities or providers about healthcare programs and services or request of transferring patients into a facility. Depending on the department, may provide support to RN or physician staff or receiving and dispatching correspondence for designated unit. Assisting with administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies and scheduling. Collaborating to create and maintain a clean environment within healthcare facilities. Depending on department, direct patient contact will vary. Primary duties will vary by department.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.At least one year experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
May require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification dependent upon department.
