Five Star BBQ is looking for an evening dishwasher, Four shifts a week, 3:30 pm to close, typically 10-10.30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Dishwashing:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and handwash in three-compartment sink to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
- Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Sort and organize cleaned dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
- Ensure proper storage practices to maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant staff to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with chefs and servers to manage the flow of dirty and clean dishes.
- Support kitchen staff by keeping work areas clean and sanitized.
- Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste following proper procedures.
Maintain Equipment:
- Keep dishwashing equipment clean and well-maintained.
- Report any issues with equipment functionality to the manager.
- Follow proper safety and sanitation guidelines, including the use of protective equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Time Management:
- Work efficiently to handle a high volume of dishes during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure a constant supply of clean dishes for kitchen operations.
- Assist in other kitchen tasks as needed during peak hours or when required.
- Be willing to take on additional responsibilities to support the overall functioning of the restaurant.
