SUMMARY: The Senior Director, Clinical Payments – Flex is a full-time position responsible for the strategic leadership, market development, growth and operational oversight of Worldwide's Flex Payments business.

The Senior Director, Clinical Payments – Flex is responsible for development of commercial strategy, sponsor engagement, proposal support, operational readiness, service development and

global delivery capabilities for Flex Payments solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities include leadership of the Flex Payments business including:

  • Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for Flex Payments.
  • Support Business Development, Proposals and Operational teams in the identification, development and conversion of Flex opportunities.
  • Act as the primary owner of all Flex opportunities from initial assessment through implementation and delivery readiness.
  • Collaborate with Sponsors, Business Development, Finance, Project Management and Operational teams to develop fit-for-purpose payment solutions.
  • Evaluate sponsor requirements and determine the most appropriate commercial and operational delivery model.
  • Develop pricing assumptions, budgets, resource plans and implementation strategies for new opportunities.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible, scalable and aligned with Worldwide capabilities.
  • Support proposal development, bid defences, sponsor meetings and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain Flex service offerings, operating models and supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Worldwide Clinical Trials service offerings through strategic payment solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Flex processes, systems, service offerings and delivery models.
  • Develop and monitor pipeline metrics, conversion rates, implementation readiness and operational performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Payments leadership to ensure alignment of Flex initiatives with broader departmental objectives.
  • Partner with Finance to support business cases, revenue forecasting, investment analysis and growth planning.
  • Establish implementation strategies for newly awarded opportunities and ensure successful transition into operational delivery.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Accounts Payable and Resource Management teams where required to support implementation and scalability.
  • Build, lead, coach and develop Flex Payments personnel as the organization grows.
  • Participate in client, sponsor and project team meetings as required.
  • Participate in all required applicable trainings.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ICH, GCP and FDA or EU directive regulations (as applicable) as well as local regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Energetic, diligent and customer-oriented.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 12 years' experience within CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or related clinical research environments.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in Clinical Payments, Finance, Operations, Business Development, Proposals or related functions.
  • Experience supporting sponsor-facing commercial activities and proposal development.
  • Experience leading global and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Four-year college curriculum or university degree OR
  • Skill sets and proven performance equivalent to above.
  • English, written and spoken, advanced level.

The salary range for this position is annually (For hourly paid positions, the stated salary range reflects hourly rates):


United States of America - $140,500.00 - $278,500.00


The salary range provided is intended to give candidates an understanding of potential earnings. Compensation will fall within the provided range, and it not a guarantee of exact salary. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive benefits package depending on location. We ensure pay equity and transparency and comply with all applicable labor laws. Salary information will be discussed during the interview process, and we encourage candidates to inquire about compensation at any stage.
