Maintenance Technician (24 Months Fixed Term Contract)

About The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team and support the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Working within a GMP-regulated environment, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance activities, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, equipment reliability improvements and supporting engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in reducing breakdowns, improving line performance and ensuring equipment availability to meet site goals.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and corrective maintenance activities on production and packaging equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Diagnose faults and identify root causes using a structured approach to troubleshooting, minimising MTTR and maximising equipment availability.
Complete PMs, CMs and Safety/Quality Critical maintenance tasks through the site's maintenance management system (MERPs).
Work within site safe systems of work, including LOTO, Permit to Work (PTW), risk assessments and engineering safety procedures.
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Breakdown Analysis (BDA) activities and implement agreed corrective actions.
Respond to breakdowns and short stops, working collaboratively with production teams to restore equipment performance as quickly as possible.
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and performance losses.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure engineering documentation, maintenance instructions and fault-finding guides are kept up to date.
Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, safety and site operating procedures at all times.
Contribute to the development and sharing of engineering best practice across the team.
About You
Essential
Mechanical Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician or equivalent engineering trade background.
Experience working within FMCG, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, medical device or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
Experience carrying out fault finding, breakdown repair and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Working knowledge of GMP requirements and engineering compliance systems.
Familiarity with LOTO, PTW, RCA and CMMS/MERPs systems.
Desirable
ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
Experience within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting equipment reliability, continuous improvement and asset care programmes.
EUR 40,275.00 - EUR 55,378.40 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role.
