Description
This role involves providing clinical leadership, ensuring quality patient care, facilitating community connections, and supporting the organization's strategic initiatives. Additionally, the Regional Clinical Director will be involved in leadership development by actively guiding and supporting individuals or teams in improving their leadership skills. This position works closely with clinical leaders, direct-care staff, operations leaders, and community providers to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care and have access to the necessary resources for a successful recovery. Leadership in this role will focus on delivering effective, empirically supported interventions; development and maintenance of supervision models to support the growth, development, and consistency of the established clinical care model; evolving care models to meet the needs of the community; sustainable training to models; maintaining a working knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements to ensure best practices in care delivery; and using leadership and expertise to advance the organization's mission through community relations. The Regional Clinical Director will also offer temporary support to other clinics as needed, with travel expected. This may include new clinic openings, clinics experiencing significant challenges or celebrating wins, or clinics that need support for other reasons as determined by the VP of Clinical Services and other administrative leaders.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership and Supervision:
- Oversee clinical staff performance: Ensure staff are providing high-quality treatment services.
- Provide direction for clinical supervision: Ensure staff receive appropriate supervision according to regulations and organizational standards.
- Conduct quality reviews: Evaluate patient care delivery and identify areas for improvement.
- Address deficiencies: Implement strategies to address identified deficiencies in patient care.
- Provide guidance for monitoring clinical staff performance and provide opportunities for continued education. Offer guidance on skill v. performance-related concerns in delivery clinical care.
- Participate in staff performance reviews: Collaborate with operations leaders to evaluate staff performance.
Training and Development:
- Ensure adequate clinical training: Provide opportunities for staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate training activities: Partner with operations leaders to implement staff training and development programs.
- In partnership with Talent Development and Training Director, develop training curriculum; create supplemental training materials when needed.
- Facilitate training sessions: Participate in development and delivery of CBT Academy modules or other training programs.
- Educate staff: Keep staff informed of developments and learning opportunities within and outside the company.
Program Development and Implementation:
Create program materials: Develop materials for clinical programs in conjunction with leadership.
Adopt standardized treatment protocols: Ensure adherence to system-wide clinical and program materials.
Facilitate the clinical continuum of care: Develop referral sources and ensure patient continuity of care.
Participate in strategic planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies.
Marketing and Outreach:
Participate in marketing and outreach activities: Support the organization's marketing and outreach efforts through community talks, media appearances, podcast development, referent visits, etc.
Develop department marketing plans: Create plans to promote the department's services in partnership with outreach and marketing teams.
Communicate plans: Collaborate with medical staff about the department's marketing plan.
Participate in referral development: Actively seek referrals from other healthcare providers.
Maintain relationships: Foster relationships within professional networks to create trusted referral sources.
Administrative and Operational Duties:
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and time management.
Adhere to company protocols and regulations.
Participate in committees, meetings, and team projects. Demonstrate effective chairperson skills, if applicable.
Assist in the recruitment process and conduct comprehensive interviews.
Develop screening criteria for analyzing applicant qualifications.
Adhere to hiring decision-making and communication protocols.
Participate in and facilitate initiatives of the organization's continuous quality improvement system.
Model & apply the continuous improvement model to clinical functions within the hospitals and clinics.
Participate in huddles and teams to improve services.
Conduct self in a professional manner.
Demonstrate organizational skills that promote timely response to all inquiries and to task completion.
Communicate with all individuals in a positive and professional manner and relate to people in a manner to win their confidence and establish rapport.

Additional Job Description:
Education & Experience :
Master’s degree in social work, or related field, from an accredited school of social work, professional counseling, or family therapy with experience in health care and in a psychiatric setting required. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in a psychology related field (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) licensed in the state in which the clinic/programs are based is preferred.
Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
Program or product development experience.
Administrative or supervisory experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
Marketing, community relations, outreach, and media appearance experience preferred.
