Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst, Data Governance & Change Control as part of the Human Resources Operations team based in Bridgewater, NJ.
Role Overview
The Senior HRIS Analyst, Data Governance & Change Control is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and appropriate use of HR data across the organization. This role supports data-driven decision-making by maintaining strong data governance practices, delivering reliable HR reporting and analytics, administering Workday change control processes, and ensuring compliance with privacy, confidentiality, audit, and governance requirements. Through collaboration with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and IT, the position helps drive operational efficiency, data quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data across Workday and other HR systems.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity through regular audits, validations, and reconciliation activities.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HR data governance standards, validation rules, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve employee master data issues and data discrepancies.
- Support organizational and worker data management processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and audit requirements related to HR data and systems.
- Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Finance and IT teams to ensure data consistency across systems.
- Support HR reporting, dashboard development, and analytics initiatives.
- Validate data accuracy for operational, compliance, executive, and board-level reporting.
- Analyze HR data trends and provide insights to support strategic initiatives and continuous process improvement.
- Review, validate, and fulfill HR data and reporting requests, ensuring appropriate authorization, confidentiality, and data privacy requirements are met prior to providing access to employee information.
- Support periodic reviews of security roles, report access, and data permissions to ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations.
- Administer and manage the Workday change control process.
- Review enhancement requests, defects, and production issues for completeness, business impact, and prioritization.
- Coordinate requirements gathering, testing activities, approvals, and change documentation.
- Maintain change control logs, release documentation, and audit records.
- Facilitate change review meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to established governance, testing, approval, and change control processes.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and ensure appropriate testing documentation is maintained.
- Conduct post-implementation validation activities to confirm system changes have achieved the intended business outcome.
- Track and report on change requests, enhancements, defects, and overall change control status to leadership.
This role operates with a high degree of independence in managing HR data governance, reporting, data quality activities, and the Workday change control process. The incumbent investigates, reports on, and resolves data quality issues; establishes and maintains data governance standards; coordinates testing and change control activities; and makes recommendations regarding process improvements, data controls, and reporting requirements.
The position serves as a trusted advisor to HR and business stakeholders while operating within established governance and approval frameworks. The role follows established change control processes, maintains supporting documentation, provides HR reports and analytics as requested, and independently validates data requests to ensure appropriate access, confidentiality, and compliance requirements are met before information is distributed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HRIS, HR Operations, HR Data Management, HR Reporting, or a related HR technology role.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining HR data integrity, performing data audits, and implementing data governance standards and controls.
- Experience developing, validating, and delivering HR reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytics to support operational, compliance, and business decision-making.
- Experience administering HR system governance processes, including change control, testing coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of employee data management, organizational structures, and data privacy requirements. · Hands-on experience supporting and administering Workday HCM.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and HR Centers of Excellence.
- Knowledge of HR compliance requirements, audit processes, and data privacy regulations applicable to employee data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Workday HCM, including worker data management, reporting, business processes, and data governance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, conditional formatting, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Proficiency in HR reporting and analytics tools, including Workday reporting, dashboards, and data visualization solutions to support operational and strategic decision-making.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.
Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.
