Overview:
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys in diverse environments. You will utilize state-of-the-art equipment, robotic surveying equipment, and a cell phone equipped with specialized apps for data collection and communication with the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Utilize robotic surveying equipment to accurately measure and record property boundaries, topographical features, and other relevant data.
- Operate company owned vehicles to travel to various survey sites within the greater Houston area and occasionally to other cities in Texas locations in Oklahoma.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment to uphold accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize specialized apps on a company-provided cell phone for data collection, communication with the office, and GPS functionality to support surveying activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate completion of surveying tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school graduate/GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in operating robotic surveying equipment and GPS technology preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret surveying data accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently.
- Residential construction experience is highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites in Oklahoma.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and legal regulations governing land surveying practices.
