Role Objective
The Senior Manager, Contract Management – Contracting Capabilities & Execution will help build, mature, and sustain the Contract Management capabilities needed to support JJMT Surgery’s evolving business, customer, and technology priorities. This role will connect contract execution excellence, negotiation support, operational discipline, and digital enablement into a scalable capability model for Contract Management.
This leader will serve as a business-side capability owner, partnering across CS&E, Contract Management, Offer Development, Contract Strategy, JJT, Legal, Finance, Commercial, Data & Analytics, Offer Development, and external vendors to advance ContractIQ, the Customer Contracting Portal (CCP), Deal Excellence and related digital contracting capabilities.
The role will focus on developing sustainable processes, adoption routines, governance models, data standards, and measurable business outcomes that improve how agreements are created, negotiated, managed, analyzed, and operationalized.
The role is intended to strengthen Contract Management as a long-term, digitally enabled, data-driven, customer-facing capability that supports compliant execution, commercial agility, negotiation excellence, and continuous improvement across the contract continuum.
Major Responsibilities:
Contract Management Capability Development & Digital Enablement
- Build and sustain Contract Management capabilities aligned to CS&E priorities, customer contracting needs, and the broader technology roadmap.
- Support the ongoing development, adoption, and maturity of CIQ / ContractIQ, CCP, Deal Excellence and related digital contracting capabilities.
- Translate business priorities into capability requirements, operating routines, adoption plans, governance models, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with JJT, Finance, Legal, Commercial, Data & Analytics, Offer Development, and external vendors to ensure tools and processes support practical business needs.
- Enable connectivity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce/Dynamics, Model N/ICS, TRIM/HPE, RADAR, and future portal capabilities.
Negotiation Capability & Contracting Excellence
- Strengthen customer-facing negotiation capabilities across Contract Management through improved tools, templates, playbooks, data access, and process discipline.
- Support the development of scalable contracting resources that help teams respond to complex customer needs with greater consistency and confidence.
- Partner with Legal, Commercial, Finance, Offer Development, and regional Contract Management teams to improve alignment on contracting positions, fallback language, approval pathways, and governance expectations.
- Identify recurring negotiation challenges, process gaps, and business risks that can be addressed through improved training, templates, analytics, or digital enablement.
- Promote consistent use of approved strategies, contract templates, business rules, and escalation paths across the contract continuum.
Innovation, GenAI & Process Modernization
- Identify, prioritize, and mature GenAI and automation use cases that improve contract authoring, review, negotiation support, execution, maintenance, analytics, and compliance visibility.
- Lead business-side testing, user validation, adoption planning, and continuous improvement for new and existing digital contracting capabilities.
- Establish and maintain contract data standards, metadata governance, and validation routines needed to support scalable AI-enabled contracting.
- Simplify and standardize contract processes through automation, analytics, improved workflows, and practical user feedback.
- Ensure innovation efforts are connected to sustainable business value, responsible use, and Contract Management operating needs.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Enterprise Partnership
- Serve as a connector across Contract Management, CS&E, Legal, Finance, JJT, Commercial, Offer Development, Data & Analytics, and other stakeholders.
- Drive alignment on capability needs, priorities, risks, adoption barriers, and decision points.
- Support leadership discussions related to capability priorities, resource needs, business value, governance, and investment decisions.
- Build stakeholder engagement routines, communications, training materials, and adoption plans that support consistent and sustained use of new capabilities.
- Escalate risks, dependencies, or process barriers that may impact capability maturity, adoption, or business outcomes.
Governance, Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Develop and sustain governance routines that support compliant, timely, accurate, and consistent contract execution.
- Support SOPs, controls, business rules, approval pathways, and risk management routines for digital contracting capabilities and core Contract Management processes.
- Connect capability development to day-to-day operations, including contract authoring, negotiation, execution, maintenance, pricing/contract loading, compliance support, and reporting.
- Identify process gaps, adoption barriers, and opportunities to simplify the contract continuum.
- Help ensure new tools, templates, workflows, and processes are operationally practical, scalable, and aligned to business requirements.
Financial Performance, Analytics & Business Insights
- Define and track success measures for Contract Management capabilities, including cycle time, adoption, data quality, compliance visibility, revenue realization, margin protection, and user experience.
- Use CIQ, CCP, analytics, workflow tools, and contract data to identify revenue leakage, process inefficiencies, risk areas, and optimization opportunities.
- Build clear value narratives, performance summaries, and leadership updates that show how Contract Management capabilities are improving business outcomes.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial, Data & Analytics, and leadership teams to connect contracting insights to commercial performance, compliance, and operational priorities.
- Support data-driven decision making across Contract Management and CS&E.
People Leadership & Capability Building
- Help build a future-ready Contract Management organization by developing skills, tools, processes, and routines that strengthen team capability over time.
- Upskill team members and stakeholders on digital tools, GenAI, analytics, negotiation support resources, and modern contracting practices.
- Promote continuous improvement, disciplined adoption, responsible innovation, and consistent execution across Contract Management.
- Mentor stakeholders on how to use new contracting capabilities responsibly, consistently, and in alignment with approved business rules.
- Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, practical problem solving, and customer-focused contracting excellence.

Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Contract Management, Contract Strategy, Commercial Operations, Legal Operations, Business Enablement, Digital Enablement, Capability Development, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree; required (Advanced degree preferred)
- Experience with contract authoring, negotiation support, process improvement, technology adoption, GenAI, CLM, CRM, ERP/revenue management systems, enterprise workflow tools, data governance, or analytics preferred.
- Strong ability to work across cross-functional teams, translate business needs into scalable capability requirements, manage milestones, influence stakeholders, support adoption, and drive sustainable operational improvements in a complex, time-sensitive environment.
- The ability and willingness to travel domestically as required – up to 20%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
