You’ll be a part of an automation team at Custom Engineering in Uppsala. We develop automation software for control and monitoring of our chromatography and filtration products used by customers for biomedical research and pharma production.

Your work tasks

As an automation engineer, you’ll work with your team in an dynamic and cross functional environment in custom and development projects. You’ll contribute with skills and build your experience in close collaboration with your colleagues. You’ll participate and contribute to all parts of the automation software development life cycle.

Your tasks will involve

• PLC programming in for example Rockwell, DeltaV and Siemens based platforms
• Control systems development
• Automation software testing and support in system verification
• Development in Rockwell Studio 5000 and similar tools
• Producing technical documentation
• Maintenance and development of internal tools and simulation and test environments.

Your skills and background involve

• BSc or MSc in Automation Engineering, hardware near programming or similar
• Knowledge about PLC programming and corresponding tools
• Team collaboration as well as independent work
• Analytical and problem solving
• Written and spoken communication in both Swedish and English

The following experiences and characteristics are desired (but not required)

• Rockwell and UNICORN
• Industrial field buses, e.g. EtherNet/IP
• Open to develop within the C#/.NET field
• Version management
• Product development
• Quality systems
