Associate Veterinarian (Companion Animal) – Amite City, LA
A veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join its team. This opportunity is open to both recent graduates and experienced veterinarians and offers a supportive environment for developing clinical skills and providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals.
- Perform physical examinations, wellness evaluations, and vaccinations.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care recommendations to clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients and their pets.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Pursue and develop clinical interests based on professional goals.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
- Active or eligible veterinary license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate approach to patient and client care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- New graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome to apply.
