About the Role

The Intern fills a general analytical role across Freestone’s Operations department, which supports all facets of the business. This Intern will primarily focus on technology, data analytics, and financial reporting, and will work on a variety of projects under the direction of Operations Leadership. The position is located at the Freestone headquarters office in Seattle, WA.

The Intern program lasts the summer, with continuous training and networking opportunities throughout. The internship will run from mid June to August 2027 (minimum of 9 weeks total). Well performing interns will assume increasing responsibilities and may be asked to stay on for an extended term. Exceptional Interns with a demonstrated interest in and aptitude for investments may be offered a full-time opportunity to stay on with Freestone long-term as an Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: Review workflows across the firm and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Administration: Help maintain Freestone’s CRM, electronic files, and reporting.
• Data Analysis: Review internal data and identify key trends and takeaways.
• Reporting Assistance: Learn about and answer questions about our financial reporting tool, Tamarac Reporting.
• Additional Support: Assist with other projects as needed to support the Operations team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Rising senior pursuing a degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Economics, or a related field.
• Interest in working with large data sets.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong academic performance, particularly in challenging coursework.
• Curious, willing to learn, and comfortable trying new things.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to review large amounts of information and develop thoughtful solutions.
• Comfortable managing projects independently and taking on responsibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Self-starter with close attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Experience with Power BI and/or SQL is a plus.
