Overview

Tremend is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to design and deliver innovative solutions for complex business challenges across multiple industries.

As part of our engineering team, you will contribute to building modern, scalable, and high-performing applications while collaborating with talented professionals in a fast-paced and agile environment. You will play a key role in shaping technical solutions and driving engineering excellence.

 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available systems using modern Java frameworks and technologies.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Present technical solutions and effectively interact with stakeholders at different levels.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Investigate and provide root cause analysis for complex production issues.
• Promote engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Solid hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and building reusable Spring Boot starters and libraries.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, including service discovery, circuit breakers, centralized logging, and containerization.
• Experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with persistence frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, GCP knowledge is considered a nice-to-have.
• Experience with CI/CD and build tools including Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration.
• Contract testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Exposure to cloud-native application design and deployment patterns.
