- Create a welcoming, professional, and engaging environment for members and guests.
- Anticipate member needs and provide proactive assistance throughout their visit.
- Ensure Racquet Attendants consistently deliver exceptional service and uphold club service standards.
- Assist members with court reservations, programs, events, lessons, general questions, and other Racquet Sports needs.
- Resolve member concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Maintain a strong presence within the facility and develop positive relationships with members and guests.
- Identify opportunities to improve service touchpoints and the overall member experience.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for the Racquet Attendant team.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of Racquet Attendants.
- Establish clear expectations for service, appearance, communication, attendance, and operational responsibilities.
- Monitor staff performance and provide timely coaching and feedback.
- Ensure appropriate front desk coverage based on facility hours, programming, events, and member activity.
- Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, hospitality, and attention to detail.
- Oversee daily front desk operations and ensure the Racquet Sports facility is organized, prepared, and member-ready.
- Support court reservations, lesson scheduling, program registration, rosters, member communication, and event execution.
- Maintain accurate records within reservation, programming, retail, and departmental systems.
- Coordinate schedules and operational information between Racquet Attendants, Racquet Professionals, and club leadership.
- Conduct regular pro shop walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness, organization, supplies, water stations, courts, and member amenities.
- Identify and communicate maintenance, safety, or facility concerns and coordinate timely resolution.
- Ensure opening, closing, and other daily operational procedures are completed consistently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and visually appealing retail environment.
- Support merchandising, product presentation, pricing, and inventory organization.
- Monitor retail inventory and communicate replenishment or product needs to department leadership.
- Assist with receiving merchandise, inventory counts, member purchases, and special orders in accordance with club procedures.
- Ensure merchandise and front desk areas consistently reflect the standards expected of a premier private club.
- Previous supervisory, hospitality, recreation, country club, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with reservation systems, point-of-sale systems, email, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, member-facing environment.
- Knowledge of tennis, pickleball, or Racquet Sports operations is preferred but not required.
- Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, initiative, and a genuine passion for service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
