We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA/QC/Commissioning Manager - Data Center Construction to be part of our team in Kansas City, MO
The QA/QC/Commissioning Manager - Data Center Construction oversees commissioning, quality assurance, and quality control activities for data center and mission critical construction projects. This role ensures systems, equipment, and installations meet owner requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and operational performance objectives from design through turnover.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, quality plans, testing procedures, issue logs, and project closeout documentation.
- Review OPRs, BODs, drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance and constructability.
- Coordinate owners, contractors, design teams, vendors, inspectors, and testing providers.
- Verify equipment startup, pre-functional checklists, TAB reports, and functional performance testing.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage quality documentation, RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, testing records, and turnover packages.
- Lead quality and commissioning meetings, track deficiencies, and drive issue resolution.
- Support audits, warranty management, LEED commissioning, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Provide project status updates, risk assessments, and technical support to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning, QA/QC, construction management, MEP systems, or mission critical/data center projects.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire/life safety, and critical facility systems.
- Knowledge of commissioning and quality standards, including ASHRAE, LEED, BCA, and applicable building codes.
- Strong documentation, technical writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; commissioning and document control software experience preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $93,000.00-$124,000.02 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
