CMPT Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management Leader

Leads the APR Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management team responsible for improving raw material quality through reduction of process variation, supply risk mitigation and problem solving. The incumbent will build strong relationships with suppliers to drive successful partnerships and will ensure APR suppliers’ readiness for advanced nodes. Develops and executes raw material strategy for APR suppliers. Acts as a decision maker for key raw materials in APR plants. Provides direction to remainder of Raw Material team in APR.

Job Duties:

  • Lead a team of engineers responsible for improving raw material performance resulting in improved Qnity metrics and reduced customer complaints
  • Develop Raw Material strategies supporting new and existing products
  • Lead/ participate in supplier audits
  • Ensure new and existing raw material supply plans align with global strategy 
  • Coach teams to solve complex problems; understand and recognize broader impact across the business/function
  • Support customer engagements on issue resolution
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members across different regions to:
    • Manage and analyze supplier & raw material performance by interacting closely to communicate Qnity expectations, lead technical meetings, drive improvement activities, provide feedback. 
    • Drive the improvement of quality and performance of suppliers' quality systems including management of change and notification protocols, root cause investigation, documentation and reporting, SPC/SQC programs, calibration, and non-conforming material review systems.  
    • Support trouble shooting of supplied material issues and facilitate Root Cause Investigations (RCI) related to supplied materials impact on final product performance and develop mitigation strategies to prevent excursions. 
    • Develop material and supply mitigation strategies, including second source opportunities and alternate agreements with current suppliers.

  • Build a strong organization: People management activities globally including goal setting & progress monitoring, development planning, coaching, training, budgeting etc.
  • Ensure implementation and ongoing effectiveness of global work processes, operating discipline, management systems, enabling technologies and roles.

Requirements:

  • BS Chemical or Materials Engineering, Chemistry
  • 7+ years experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical or pharmaceutical industries
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment with different global teams, building strong relationships, and driving results
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in using data to identify issues, implement solutions, and track progress
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, particularly with respect to working with teams across disciplines and regions
  • Able to develop and implement project plans
  • Knowledge & experience in statistics, SPC and statistical design of experiments
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills

Travel to US, Taiwan, Korea, Japan up to 20%
