Description
Join our Liquid Handling department as a Field Service Technician, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service covering the North of England and into Scotland.
Through your proactive and solutions focused approach, you will be servicing, repairing and calibrating single and multichannel pipettes at customer sites that enable our teams to focus on what matters most: better health for more people.
Based in the field and ideally living in the north of England, you will become part of a team of two dedicated professionals who look forward to shaping the future together with you. Please note that this role requires significant travel across assigned regions and includes regular overnight stays. Applicants should be comfortable with this as a core part of the position.
We actively consider applicants from different disciplines who bring transferable skills in diagnostics, servicing electromechanical equipment and customer support. Full training on laboratory standards, pipettes and our processes will be provided, however Field Service experience would be beneficial.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
Perform on-site maintenance, calibration, repair, and functional testing of pipettes
Manage on-site maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of pipettes, diagnosing errors and determining effective solutions
Produce detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis promptly
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and UKAS requirements and internal SOPs
Collaborate closely with the technical team, sharing insights across the organisation
Act as a trusted partner to customers, building strong relationships and driving satisfaction and customer retention
What will convince us
Experience with laboratory equipment or other technical equipment is beneficial but training will be provided
Field service experience in pharmaceutical, biological or chemical industries is desirable, though candidates from manufacturing, electronics and other sectors are welcome to apply
Experience working with industry standards such as UKAS, ISO or equivalent would be preferable
Strong troubleshooting, testing and servicing skills
Ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing schedules and travel as needed
Customer focused communicator who can explain technical issues clearly and professionally
Hold a valid UK driving license
