What We Do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver.
We work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.
Make Your Impact
You'll play a key role in ensuring sold products are translated into accurate, compliant, and production-ready orders. By combining your mechanical engineering knowledge with SAP configuration expertise, you will help drive efficient manufacturing, optimise resource utilisation, minimise rework, and support high-quality production outcomes.
What You'll Do
Deliver accurate, complete Work Orders within a 3-day turnaround, managing amendments within 2 days to ensure smooth production flow.
Configure Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SAP Variant Configurator and manual methods to prevent errors and ensure compliance with production standards.
Validate all Work Order requirements against processing checklists to enable safe, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing and assembly outcomes.
Collaborate closely with Master Data teams to define SAP Material Master requirements for special or certified parts, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Raise purchase requisitions and configure routings within SAP to maintain continuous production with minimal disruption.
Apply engineering knowledge to interpret drawings, product structures, and manufacturing requirements while supporting production and configuration activities.
Manage product configurations, support manufacturing teams, and troubleshoot order issues to optimise resource utilisation and minimise rework.
Minimal travel expected, primarily local or occasional visits to manufacturing sites as needed.
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of developing a world-class safety culture.
