Required Skills & Competencies
Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
Strong understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems.
Experience working with sensors, actuators, drives, and related automation equipment.
Sound knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits.
Knowledge of drives and power electronics is considered an advantage.

Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels domestically and internationally.The Role
The Automation Service Engineer is responsible for executing commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and service activities related to automation and electrical systems onboard vessels and marine equipment.
As part of the IHC India service team, the Automation Service Engineer contributes to the successful delivery of new build projects, system upgrades and service interventions while supporting the reliability and performance of vessel automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Work on various projects in the maritime sector including new builds and upgrades.
Perform testing and commissioning of automation and electrical systems onboard vessels.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in PLC, SCADA / HMI, and control systems.
Provide service and support activities onboard ships.
Execute fault finding, repairs, and system optimization.
Support the new build department, during installation, testing and handover phase.
Collaborate with engineering teams, shipyards and customers.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Control Systems Engineering.
8+ years of relevant experience in automation, commissioning, field service or marine engineering environments.
Proven experience within the maritime industry is essential.
Practical experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms in operational environments.
Experience with vessel automation systems, marine electrical systems or dredging equipment will be considered an advantage.
Willing to travel internationally as required for business needs.
