What You Will Do:
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture through Tier meetings, toolbox talks, Gemba walks, and effective communication to ensure Technicians maintain a safety-first mindset, practice Safe Start, and comply with JHAs, PPE requirements, and approved work practices.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with CMMs, Planning Documents, Technical data, and Quality procedures.
Escalate safety, quality, tooling, equipment, or compliance concerns promptly.
Support investigations, corrective actions, audits, inspections and other EHS / Quality initiatives.
Reinforce good housekeeping, FOD prevention and TPM.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement, CORE
Drive efficient use of available labor hours and resources.
Identify opportunities to reduce process time, rework, COPQ, and other operational waste.
Support and drive continuous improvement activities such as Standard Work, 5S, Visual Management, KANBAN and QCPC.
Encourage technicians to identify and implement practical improvements to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Lead/co-lead continuous improvement events and encourage team participation.
Monitor cell performance and support recovery plans where performance is below target.
Demonstrate fluency with key site and cell level operational metrics, participate in progress reviews.
Operations & Delivery
Provide oversight to Senior Technicians in daily shop-floor execution, including setting priorities and allocating Technicians.
Monitor work progress against the production plan and escalate risks to schedule, TAT, DIH, and customer delivery.
Coordinate movement of components between GATE processes to maintain workflow.
Oversee the resolution (RTPR) or timely escalations of constraints involving parts, tooling, technical data, equipment, engineering support, logistics support and other resources impacting operations.
Participate in daily Tier meetings and provide accurate updates on progress, constraints, recovery actions or escalations.
Support overtime and manpower planning based on operational requirements.
Support effective communication between shifts and ensure clear handovers of outstanding work and priorities.
Ad hoc tasks as required.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Program management, Engineering, Quality, Materials Planning, Logistics, Stores, Customer Service, and other support functions to drive results or resolve production constraints.
Ensure issues requiring additional support are escalated early with clear ownership and required completion dates, (SPQDC)
Support customer and regulatory requirements when required.
People Leadership
Provide day-to-day directions, coaching, and technical support to Technicians.
Set clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and workplace behavior.
Promote accountability and ownership while maintaining a respectful and collaborative working environment.
Support Technician development through OJT, training and skills development.
Provide performance feedback to your team.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MRO of components / engines / aircraft or operations, engineering and manufacturing.
Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills.
Safety awareness and a commitment to quality.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in using continuous improvement tools.
Exposure to ERP systems, SAP preferred.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling,prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited bylocal laws/regulations.
