Description
Our confidential healthcare client is currently seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable Medical Office Assistant to join their busy blended medical practice in Southwest Calgary on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team in a patient-centered environment focused on providing exceptional care and service to patients and their families. The practice provides a range of primary care services, with a focus on maternity and newborn care, women's health, and specialized women's healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and check them in using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients and families in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and book patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- Complete general administrative duties, including filing, faxing, photocopying, and document management.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, compassionate experience for patients and their families.
- Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the physicians and overall clinic operations.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Requirements:
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification.
- Previous experience using ACCURO EMR is required.
- Previous experience working in a primary care or medical office setting is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and a conscientious, reliable, and professional approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
- Compassionate and patient-focused with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working independently.
