Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a hands-on Armed Contract Manager to lead daily operations and support a team of approximately 8-12 security officers in Glenwood Springs.
This position has responsibility for staffing, scheduling, employee readiness, compliance, client communication, quality control, and field operations. The Contract Manager will work closely with officers and company leadership to keep assignments properly staffed, address performance or coverage concerns, and maintain consistent service standards.
The position is also hands-on. When operational needs require additional coverage, the Contract Manager may be expected to step into an armed assignment and perform post duties.
What You Will Manage
Team Leadership & Daily Operations
- Lead, supervise, and provide direction to approximately 8–12 security officers.
- Organize daily assignments and help ensure every required post has appropriate coverage.
- Monitor attendance, performance, conduct, and compliance with established post orders.
- Respond to call-offs, staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected coverage requirements.
- Personally provide armed post coverage when necessary to maintain operations.
- Coach employees regarding performance, procedures, and workplace expectations.
- Initiate and document corrective action when warranted under company procedures.
- Maintain consistent communication with field personnel and the Operations/District Manager.
- Promote accountability, professionalism, and reliable post coverage.
Scheduling & Labor Oversight
- Create and maintain weekly and monthly schedules through TrackTik.
- Review time entries and help identify discrepancies before payroll processing.
- Monitor employee hours, overtime, and overall labor utilization.
- Anticipate staffing requirements based on contractual coverage and anticipated operational needs.
- Make scheduling adjustments when vacancies, absences, or changes in coverage occur.
- Help maintain staffing levels in accordance with client agreements and company expectations.
Licensing & Workforce Compliance
- Maintain current records for employee licenses, certifications, and required credentials.
- Confirm officers possess the qualifications necessary for their assigned responsibilities.
- Monitor armed status, required skills, certifications, and other workforce qualification information.
- Track credential expiration dates and coordinate necessary updates or renewals.
- Work with Training personnel to coordinate new-hire orientation and required on-the-job training.
- Prevent employees with expired or otherwise deficient credentials from being scheduled for assignments requiring those qualifications.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation for the assigned team.
Client Relations & Service Quality
- Act as an operational point of contact connecting the client, field officers, and company leadership.
- Support implementation and communication of post orders and operational procedures.
- Participate in field visits and operational reviews as needed.
- Examine daily activity reports and incident documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Identify coverage concerns, service deficiencies, or recurring operational issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Communicate significant staffing, performance, or service concerns to company leadership.
- Help maintain guard-tour functionality in TrackTik, including NFC tag placement and mapping.
- Follow up on identified issues to ensure corrective measures are completed.
Recruiting & Employee Performance
- Conduct preliminary candidate interviews based on established position requirements.
- Evaluate applicants and provide hiring recommendations to company leadership.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding activities with Human Resources and Training.
- Support employee development through coaching, feedback, and performance follow-up.
- Document performance concerns and administer corrective action consistent with company procedures.
- Help identify recurring workforce issues and communicate recommended solutions to leadership.
Equipment & Asset Control
- Maintain accountability for company-issued uniforms and operational equipment.
- Track assigned radios, protective equipment, keys, access credentials, and other company property.
- Identify missing, damaged, or replacement items and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Ensure personnel have the equipment necessary to perform their assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older for the armed duties associated with this position.
- Valid driver's license required.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in private security, law enforcement, military, or a related field.
- Prior armed pistol experience required.
- Strong understanding of security operations and post-order compliance.
- Ability to lead, coach, and support a team of security personnel.
- Strong scheduling, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to staffing changes and operational problems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage personnel records, schedules, reports, and multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of applicable security licensing and certification requirements.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with company leadership.
- Ability to provide armed coverage when operational circumstances require it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience overseeing contract-based services or multiple posts.
- Previous responsibility for employee scheduling or workforce planning.
- TrackTik experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic reporting, timekeeping, scheduling, or workforce management systems.
- Experience tracking employee credentials and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting operational inspections or quality reviews.
- Previous client-facing or field-management experience.
