Position Overview:
The Lead, Space Planning, will lead a team of space planners, providing subject matter expertise, project management, space planning and analytical support for strategy, vision and assortment decisions made by the Merchandising organization. This role involves leading a category, training new associates, updating & maintaining a training platform and tools, and implementing team process improvements alongside Space Planning Managers and the Sr Manager of Space Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development
• Update and maintain space planning training best practices for MET, Capital Initiatives, Interconnected Reviews, and project management.
• Solution new quality assurance checks along side the Sr. Business Analyst
• Onboard and train new planners through each project milestone, providing guidance on the who, what, why, and how.
• Coach space planners on designing planograms that provide analytics and that positively influences category strategy.
Team Leadership
• Accountable for managing the team on all personnel issues, including coaching, development, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure the team's accuracy, timeliness, advocacy of best practices, and viability of recommendations.
• Assist in leading special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
• Provide thought leadership and recommendations for identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Work closely with the SPA Managers and Sr Manager to further develop training guidelines and team process improvements.
• Manage and further develop the assortment update process with the Seasonal Space Planning & Merchandising team

Minimum Education:
