Join our new Radio R&D center in Yokohama

Would you like to lead challenging R&D and I&V projects while defining test strategies that secure the release, performance, and market access of next-generation Ericsson radio products?

We work in an agile setup to develop and maintain competitive, high-quality radio products that secure future growth for our customers, across LTE, WCDMA, GSM, NR/5G and the evolution toward 6G.

As an IVC Project & Test lead, you will be part of the Systems & IVC department at the Japan R&D center in Yokohama, part of Ericsson’s global RTE organization. About the opportunity

We are looking for a proactive driver with technical project experience, a strategic mind, and strong stakeholder and communication skills. You will manage and run one or several R&D/IVC projects while also taking a leading role in product test strategy, test scope, test coverage, and efficient verification execution.

Your objective will be to align project goals, time, cost, efficiency, and test results with internal and external stakeholders. You will work across Systems, Design, IVC disciplines, and technology areas to ensure that projects and test activities progress according to plan and that the right test coverage is achieved in the most efficient way.

  • Proactively manage changes in project and product scope, communicating impacts and decisions clearly to team members, stakeholders, and users.
  • Motivate project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Represent IVC in pre-studies and analyze the test impact of new Radio products and Features.
  • Drive Product Test Strategies covering several IVC disciplines for selected product segments, and build and evolve Test Plans for different products.

  • Act as Project Manager for selected features or Radio products when needed, securing and facilitating test progress and handling test-scope changes with Systems and Design.
  • Participate in the Technology Area – Testability to capture technology trends and reflect them in IVC Test Strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate early-phase, development, release, and test processes and drive improvements that reduce lead time and increase coverage and efficiency.

What you will bring
